We recently completed a beautiful deck refurbishment project nestled in the scenic foothills of North Carolina, working with wonderful clients in an equally stunning setting.
The project began when our clients’ original composite decking, which had been installed less than fifteen years ago, showed signs of failure. The issues stemmed from both poor installation and manufacturing defects. Our goal was to create a renewed outdoor space that would allow our clients to fully enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and serene early mornings.

Over the course of two months, we collaborated closely with the clients to explore several design options for replacing the existing decking. Key considerations included waterproofing, cable railing, and new composite decking materials. After thorough discussions and with cost-effectiveness and environmental impact in mind, we collectively decided on using Trex Select composite decking. Additionally, we opted to retain and re-install the existing glass railing, which proved to be a practical solution that balanced both design and budget.
Through meticulous attention to detail during both the removal and installation phases, we were able to deliver a remarkable final result. The completed deck not only meets the clients' functional needs but also enhances the beauty of their outdoor space, providing them with a refreshing and long-lasting area to enjoy for years to come.
